SIMPLE WATERCOLOR FLORAL TUTORIAL WITH IMAGES

Watercolor painting is very stress-relieving and is very fun to do. Flowers makes a person's day bright and colorful. If we put them both together, it will be more exciting and fun! In this post, we will teach you How to make Simple Watercolor Floral Tutorial!


So, here it goes... First, you'll need to prepare the materials and tools.


  • Watercolor Pad

    - We're currently using Berkeley Watercolor Pad. It has the size of 190mmX270mm, 180gsm, 24 sheets and Acid Free.

You could also try other Water color pads.
  • Watercolors

    - We will use Pentel Watercolors (12 colors)

  • Water brush

    (you could also use a normal brush and prepare your water) - We'll be using Craftdoodle Aqua Brush Pen (Large size)

  • Watercolor palette

    - this will be used for mixing the colors since we're using a 12-colors watercolor set


The steps in this tutorial are basic and simple, so everyone could try it. First, draw the inner part of the rose/flower as shown in the images below...




Continue drawing curved and broken lines from inner to outer part of your rose/flower until it you reach your desired size... 



If you are using a Water brush pen, you could let the watercolor fade while drawing the petals for it could have a fading effect on some part of your flower.



You could blend the other parts for effects...



Next step is to draw the leaves. Make sure you'll clean your brush first before dipping it to other color to avoid unwanted color blending. You could use a paper towel to clean your water brush pen.



Continue painting your leaf/leaves. A little oval with sharp edges will do.




Next is to choose another color of your choice for the next flower, you could also use the same color if you want.



And follow the step from the start to do another flower...



Make more flowers so it would look prettier and nicer!
