What are the questions asked for yourself or your friend when hungry? "Saan ba masarap kumain?" ("Where to eat delicious meals?"); "Saan ba masarap kumain sa Cavite?" ("Where to eat delicious meals in Cavite?"); "Saan ba may kakaibang restaurant sa South?" ("Where are the unique restaurants in the South?"). Well, this blog might answer some of your hunger questions! :)
There are a lot of asian buffets and restaurants here in Philippines, particularly in Metro Manila. Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and more! The most famous of all is their smokeless grill. The concept of providing a griller on the table while the customers have fun cooking the raw meats. Going to Manila is kind of hassle especially when you're from the Southest of Cavite. But, we've found this Korean Restaurant in Cavite that serves Bulgogi, Samgyeopsal, Bibimbap, and more... it's the Japche Restaurant.
Days ago, my boyfriend sent me a video posted by BuzzFeed, the video titled "$13 BBQ Ribs Vs. $256 BBQ Ribs • Korea". I seriously craved for bulgogi because of that video so I told him to look for a Korean Restaurant that serves Bulgogi or anything with grilled meats! I looked for it, too, online and on Facebook and found one that is located at Tondo, Manila. The price is cheap in Tondo but it's so hassle to drive there because of the traffic, and parking might be a problem. Until, he found a Korean restaurant in Cavite (Silang, Cavite). It's a 50-minute drive from our place (we're from Imus, Cavite) on a Saturday night. Our original target restaurant was Baek Yuen Korean Restaurant but we're not sure where it was exactly because we don't have internet connection that time to find it on Waze or Google Map. Until, we saw this restaurant! π
The Japche Restaurant have parking space for customers and I think it can accomodate up to 10 vehicles so parking slot is not a problem.
As we arrive inside the resto, a woman greeted us in Korean language. :)
The place's ambience is not that great. I think their air-conditioner is at very low temperature, and there are no music playing. You can only hear the voices of the people, and the sound of the griller.
The staff gave us the menu and we saw a lot of different dishes. It's kinda hard to pick what to order. Our choices are Galbisal, Samgyeopsal, or Bulgogi. We've chosen the Bulgogi because there's a minimum order of 2 orders on Galbisal and Samgyeopsal. Their Bulgogi is a mix of Pork, Beef, Squid and Shrimp.
They first served us the side dishes...
And here comes the main dish!!!! π
We waited around 5 minutes for the bulgogi to be done. And... λ¨Ήμ! ("Let's eat!" - Yup, thanks Google translate! π )
As what I've seen on youtube/facebook videos, I put some meat and some side dish on the lettuce, like this...
And then wrapped it with the lettuce like this...
And ate it whole! The taste of the meat matches the taste of the lettuce and the bean sprouts! Yuuuum!!! You could also order rice and enjoy!
This Bulgogi meal costs Php 1,000 ($20) and I think it's kinda reasonable naman. We'll surely go back to this restaurant and try their other dishes! ππ
By the way, the extra rice costs Php 50 per cup. π
You can use Google Maps to easily find this restaurant just use the link after the contact details below...
